Fall 2017 Yoga for Educators Schedule
Hoffman-Boston Elementary (music room) 4:15-5:15 p.m. (w/Beth--email her directly at firstname.lastname@example.org for participation)
Educators are some of the hardest working people! I know, because I've worked for Arlington Public Schools for 20 years, and I am surrounded by dedicated, passionate men and women who work tirelessly to provide the best educational experience for our youth every day.
Oftentimes, these professionals are so busy, they neglect to take care of themselves and eventually become stressed, fatigued, and injured.
I designed Yoga for Educators (YFE) as a way to offer APS administrators and staff an affordable, accessible, and convenient yoga program. Through weekly classes held on site at various APS schools and buildings, educators work to increase their mental and physical strength and balance.
Classes are $10/per person and there is a minimum of 5 yogis per class. If you are interested in having a YFE class at your building, email me @ EatYogaDrink@gmail.com to make arrangements.
Here's what people are saying about Yoga for Educators:
"I begrudgingly signed up for 'Yoga for Educators' knowing it would be good for my health, but hating every prior yoga class I had ever attended, I dreaded the first day. I was worried everyone would know what they were doing and I would be the odd woman out. I was shocked and relieved to discover that Erin starts her yoga classes from scratch; easing you into the poses and vinyasa flow. She provides a vast array of options for different skill levels. She not only caters to the body, but also the mind. Beginning the practice with a dedication and focusing on mindfulness. It's what I need at the end of a long school day. I feel rejuvenated physically, mentally, and emotionally and receive a great workout in the process. I never thought I would LOVE yoga, but I do. I can't wait for my weekly yoga class and now consider myself a 'Yogi' thanks to Erin and her wonderful class. Who knew that the thing I dreaded would turn out to be the thing I needed the most!" --Sarah
